Redesigned the web-based trading platform for Axi's retail clients — applying modular design principles to improve consistency across CFD markets and accelerate engineering delivery globally.
ATP Web is Axi's browser-based trading platform for retail CFD clients. I led the redesign of the CFD trading interfaces across all markets — Forex, Commodities, Indices, Crypto, and Shares — applying modular design principles to create a more consistent, scalable product.
Platform overview — unified layout serving Forex, Commodities, Indices, Crypto, and Shares from a single interface
The web platform had grown organically over years, resulting in inconsistent UI patterns across different market types. Traders switching between Forex and Crypto, for example, encountered different interaction models for the same core actions — placing trades, reviewing positions, and managing orders.
This inconsistency slowed down both users and engineers. Designers were rebuilding similar components from scratch for each market, and the engineering teams across the UK, India, and Philippines were working from inconsistent specs.
Before — Forex market view with component patterns that diverged from Crypto and Indices equivalents
Before — Crypto view using a different order ticket, chart controls, and position display from Forex
Component audit — mapping shared interaction patterns vs. market-specific data needs across all asset classes
After — same modular layout, order ticket, and chart controls now shared across every market type
The modular redesign improved design consistency across all CFD markets and accelerated development speed by reducing rework. The same component foundations were then extended into the ATP Mobile and Axi Design System work.
Indices view — same component foundations as Forex and Crypto, adapted for indices-specific data
